Below is the description of our garden as printed in the NGS yellow book.
In the pretty hamlet of Harbridge, surrounded by open countryside, this ¾-acre garden is brimming with bold, colourful planting and interesting areas.
Two unusual circular gateways lead through to cottage garden borders, densely planted with exuberant herbaceous perennials chosen for hot summer colour and their ability to survive the windy, dry conditions.
In contrast, a beach themed gravel area inspired by Prospect Cottage at Dungeness, allows the planting of grasses to blend with driftwood sculpture and seaside articles and even the garden sheds are painted as beach huts.
A little stream runs by the circular lawn to a pond with decking and a patio provides somewhere to sit.
Rambling roses adorn swags of rope and two greenhouses hold collections of Cacti and Carnivorous plants, many of which are also to be found in a variety of containers around the garden.
A well kept vegetable patch overlooking the surrounding fields and a flock of bantam chickens complete the garden and there is also a small adjacent nursery.
Home made cakes and cream teas can also be enjoyed around the garden and also on the grass.
The garden was featured in the July 2008 edition of Hampshire Life.
